Remote Istanbul
A journey through the city guided by artificial intelligence…
Remote Istanbul takes audiences on a surprising audio-guided walk through the streets of Kadıköy, led by an AI named İpek. Blending sound, performance, and urban exploration, the piece invites participants to reflect on human behavior, collective dynamics, and their evolving relationship with the city—especially in the wake of the pandemic.
As participants move through the city, immersive soundscapes and original compositions guide their steps, transforming the urban landscape into a living stage and inviting a renewed connection with Istanbul’s rhythms and textures.
Developed by the renowned European performance collective Rimini Protokoll, the Remote X series has been adapted to the local culture and atmosphere of each city it visits. Since its premiere in Berlin in 2013, the project has been presented in over 50 cities including London, Paris, Lisbon, Milan, Madrid, Copenhagen, New York, Los Angeles, Buenos Aires, Tehran, Shanghai, and more.
The Istanbul edition was realized by Beykoz Kundura as part of its Kundura Stage initiative, in collaboration with Kadıköy Municipality and with the support of Tepe Nautilus Shopping Mall.
Remote Istanbul opened to the public on 19 September 2020, with tours available in both Turkish and English throughout the 2020/2021 season.

Yarın Belki de
Yarın Belki De is an adaptation of Forced Entertainment’s Tomorrow’s Parties, one of the prominent groups in contemporary theatre and pioneers of the devising method, tailored to today’s Turkey. On a simple stage framed by colorful carnival lights, two individuals, like lovers in a playful word duel, bring a critical, ironic, and sometimes amusing perspective to the present day while pondering the possibilities of the future.
Yarın Belki De takes the audience on a journey from speculations that reveal today’s hopes and fears to utopian and dystopian predictions, sci-fi scenarios, political nightmares, and absurd fantasies, all guided by the performers. The play entertains, excites, and provokes thought with its playful, touching, and at times wildly imaginative view of the possible and impossible futures.
